10:30 am - Rite II Eucharist in Cathedral. This service is a blend of
traditional Anglican and modern Episcopalian. There are choral
anthems and solos in a range of styles, exceptional organ music, a
healing laying-on of hands at the side altar and a very friendly
passing of the peace.
Beginning Sunday, June 22, 2008 we will observe our Summer Service
schedule - our 10:30 am service will move to 10:00 am.
Beginning June 25, 2008, our Wednesday Healing Service will be "on

in the Chapel.
12:30 pm - Igbo-language (Nigerian service) in the Chapel

Choirs

The Absalom Jones Inspirational Choir features men and women from
all walks of life who have dedicated themselves to singing the
praises of God. Choir rehearsal is held each Wednesday from
7:30 to 9:00 pm during the fall, winter and spring, with time off in
the summer.
Trinity’s other vocal ensembles include the Trinity Singers, Women’s
Ensemble and Cathedral Chant Choir.
Trinity Children’s Choir
We have
had much early success with our Children’s Choir, including a
rousing performance with the Absalom Jones Inspirational Choir and
the choir of Christ Church, Toms River at our TrinityFest 2008!
Currently, the Children's Choir is off for the summer, but it is not too late to sign up. We would love to have you join us
for our next session.
We
are training the children in basic music skills, along with
vocal training. The choir is open to all ages from 6 to 15 years, and
children from the community are invited to join us as well.
If your child loves to sing, and is
willing to learn basic skills, join us! Please see our schedule
below, which resumes in the fall. (Thanks to Deborah Ford,
Associate Music Minister/Cathedral Choir Director.)

Sunday School

Trinity Cathedral offers Sunday School beginning at 9:30 am for
all age groups, from infants through high school. All children
(except infants and toddlers) join their families for communion at
the end of the 10:30 am service. The classes are divided by age
group: nursery/toddler, pre-school (3-5), primary (6-8),
intermediate (9-11) and middle/high school. The curriculum for the
pre-school through the intermediate age groups is the lectionary
based Episcopal Church curriculum called Living
the Good News. The middle and high school age group
discusses contemporary movies in relationship to the Gospel. An
additional middle and high school class is offered at 9:30 am.
We will have
baby and child care to six years of age during the 10:30 am service,
too.
Adult Education
Trinity’s Adult Education programs promote intellectual adventure
and spiritual inquiry in the true Anglican spirit. Activities
include book study groups and interfaith forums.
New programs from the Adult Education Commission
will be listed here as they are offered.
