2015 Cathedral Sunday Recap

The 2015 Cathedral Sunday began with a Flower Festival Workshop on Saturday, June 13, coordinated by Ira Lackey of Trinity Church, Princeton and our own Flower Guild Chair, Sue Remmers. Participants from throughout the Diocese attended a workshop on flower arranging and put together their own arrangements. The gorgeous results were placed in and around the Cathedral for the Flower Festival Eucharist on Sunday.

On Sunday, the Flower Festival Eucharist was celebrated by The Reverend Karin Mitchell, Dean of the Trenton Convocation, and Rector of St. David's Church, Cranbury. The Right Reverend William H. Stokes, Bishop of the Diocese of New Jersey, joined us as Preacher. Following the Mass, guests enjoyed a delicious luncheon coordinated by Cathedral Major Chapter member Dawn Burkitt. Tours of the cathedral were offered and led by The Reverend Anne McRae Wrede. It was a wonderful opportunity for folks to learn more about our ministries and history.

Later that day, a Choral Evensong was held in the Cathedral, featuring singers from churches throughout the Diocese, under the direction of Diocesan musicians.
